Looking for a refreshing way to enjoy Hawaiian Mamaki tea? This Mamaki Hibiscus Ginger Iced Tea combines smooth Hawaiian Mamaki with tart hibiscus and warming ginger for a vibrant, naturally caffeine-free herbal drink.
The beautiful ruby-red color comes naturally from hibiscus, while Mamaki provides a mild herbal base and ginger adds a slightly spicy finish. Serve it simply over ice or turn it into a tropical summer drink with pineapple, citrus, berries, or fresh mint.
Ingredients:
For 2 servings:
2–4 teaspoons Mamaki Hibiscus & Ginger Herbal Tea Blend
2 cups hot water
1–2 teaspoons Hawaiian honey, optional
Ice
Fresh lemon or lime slices
Fresh mint for garnish
How to Make Mamaki Hibiscus Ginger Iced Tea
Bring 2 cups of water to approximately 200°F (93°C).
Add the Mamaki Hibiscus & Ginger blend and steep for 7–10 minutes. For a stronger iced tea, use a little more tea or allow it to steep toward the longer end of the range.
Strain the herbs and allow the tea to cool. If you prefer your iced tea naturally sweetened, stir in honey while the tea is still warm.
Fill a glass with ice and pour the cooled tea over it. Finish with fresh lemon, lime, or mint.
Tropical Pineapple & Mint Mamaki Iced Tea
For a tropical version, combine:
1 cup brewed Mamaki Hibiscus Ginger tea
½ cup pineapple juice
Ice
Fresh mint
Fresh pineapple for garnish
Pour the chilled tea and pineapple juice over ice and stir. Add fresh mint and a slice of pineapple.
Citrus Sunrise Mamaki Tea
For a bright citrus version, combine:
1 cup brewed Mamaki Hibiscus Ginger tea
Juice of ½ orange
Juice of ½ lemon
Ice
Fresh orange and lemon slices
Pour everything over ice and garnish with fresh citrus.
Berry Mamaki Iced Tea
Hibiscus also pairs beautifully with berries. Add fresh strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, or a combination of berries to a glass of chilled Mamaki Hibiscus Ginger tea.
Lightly muddle a few berries before adding the tea if you want a stronger fruit flavor.
Naturally Caffeine-Free Hawaiian Iced Tea
Mamaki (Pipturus albidus) is a Hawaiian plant traditionally prepared as an herbal infusion and is naturally caffeine-free. Combined with hibiscus and ginger, it creates a flavorful alternative to conventional iced tea that can be enjoyed throughout the day.
The blend contains only three botanical ingredients:
Hawaiian Mamaki Leaf • Hibiscus • Ginger Root
Enjoy it hot during cooler weather or turn it into a colorful tropical iced tea whenever you want something refreshing.
Make It Your Own
One of the easiest things about this recipe is how many ways you can customize it. Try pineapple for tropical sweetness, citrus for a brighter flavor, berries for a fruity variation, or fresh mint for an extra-refreshing finish.
Whether you keep it simple or turn it into a tropical fruit tea, Mamaki Hibiscus Ginger Iced Tea is an easy way to enjoy Hawaiian Mamaki in a completely different way.
